Emirati Candle Illuminates Mongolia's International Stage
Ulaanbaatar – In an unprecedented milestone, Almaseelah for Theatrical Production delivered a live performance of the play "The Candle" at the Saint Muse International Theatre Festival in Mongolia. Staged at the Black Box Theatre in the capital, Ulaanbaatar, it marked the first live Arabic-speaking theatrical production in the festival's history.
Written and directed by artist Ahmed Abdulla Rashed and starring Abdulla Masoud, the duo presented a profoundly dramatic performance reflecting the internal human struggle and the yearning for light amidst darkness. Audiences described the work as a "visual poem full of poetry and honesty," highlighting the remarkable evolution of Emirati theatre.
An integrated technical crew contributed to the show's success, including Dr. Khalid Al Dhanhani (Lighting), Talal Al Antali (Sound), Abdulla Al Khadim (Stage Management), Sulaiman Al Shamsi (Media Coordination), and Mohammed Obaid Al Hindasi (Administrative Supervision).
